Biography

Hello, I am Kimberly, and I love photography...any art actually. I have been interested in photography for many years, ever since I saw one of Ansel Adams photographs from Yosemite National Park when I was a young girl; he was such an amazing photographer.
In high school I had the chance to take a photography course; to bad it was only a half semester class, I would of loved to have taken it yearly. In September of 2004, I enrolled in a at-home photography course from New York Institute of Photography. Taking the NYIP course reminded me of everything I learned in the high school photography class, years ago. I started paying more attention and started taking better photographs. Many people have said that people would buy my photographs, so I went looking online to see how I could make this possible, I found CafePress.com, and it just expanded from there.
I was born in the fall of 1979 and raised in central New Hampshire. But since marrying in 2001 I have not been in New Hampshire very much. My husbands job takes us to live in different locations around the world, which is a fantastic opportunity for me, because I love to site see. So far we have lived in South Dakota, England (loved it!) and Idaho. I spend any free time that I can to photograph, paint, draw, work on a website or write. Most of the time I paint and draw to get the kids to settle down for "quiet time", and well I basically take my camera every where we go.
Equipted with....
My first camera purchase was in 2001. I purchased a Nikon N65 outfit, I still own and use this camera. I use Nikon and Sigma lenses and Kodak film. In 2007 I purchased my first digtal camera, Pentax K10D. I just have a couple of Pentax lenses for this camera, but I am saving up for a large Sigma lens. And, recently I purchased a Polaroid Instant Camera, to create image transfer art from the polaroids.
